The Director of Human Resources (DHR) provides strategic and operational leadership for all human resources functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, values, and compliance requirements. The DHR serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources Leadership & Strategy- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that support organizational objectives and workforce planning
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership on organizational design, change management, and talent strategy
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes to attract and retain top talent
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date job descriptions, performance management frameworks, and career development pathways
- Oversee performance review processes, goal setting, and personal achievement plans
- Design and facilitate staff training, leadership development, and team-building initiatives
- Strengthen retention through succession planning and internal talent development
- Serve as the primary resource for employee relations, addressing grievances, performance issues, and disciplinary actions with discretion and professionalism
- Support employees with accommodations, leaves of absence, and other workplace needs
- Promote employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programs
- Conduct anonymous staff surveys and lead action planning based on results
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and values-driven workplace culture
- Administer semi-monthly payroll and oversee employee compensation practices
- Manage employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan (401(k), and related vendor relationships
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits aligned with market benchmarks
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies in accordance with best practices and legal requirements
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and EEO)
- Oversee personnel records management and data integrity within HRIS systems
- Manage workers’ compensation programs, audits, claims, and insurance transitions
- Ensure required labor law postings and internal compliance communications are accurate and current
- Optimize HR operations through effective use of HRIS and related technologies (e.g., iSolved)
- Maintain accurate HR documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- B.A. in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Management (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of senior-level HR
- Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, benefits administration, and talent development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems (iSolved), and business technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization, discretion, and sound judgment
- Experience managing confidential information
Wage starting at $70,000 based on education and experience, benefit eligible
Schedule - Monday through Thursday in-office from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salaried - 30 hours/week
